Eyelid Rejuvenation / Blepharoplasty

With time, one of the most noticeable changes in our face occurs around our eyes. The eyelid skin stretches, muscles weaken, and fat pockets around the eyes become more prominent. It doesn’t matter if you are a man or woman, catching up on your sleep cannot remedy the sagging and droopy eyelids that are the result of the passage of time.

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty , is one of our most popular procedures. This is because surgery is the best option for rejuvenating tired looking eyes. It is a very gratifying day surgery that removes and remodels the skin and soft tissues around the eyes. It is typically a one-time procedure.

Fix sagging and wrinkled eyes with eyelid rejuvenation

Lower eyelid surgery focuses on reducing the lower eyelid fat pockets that are responsible for the “bags” below the eyes that can make you look older and more tired than you feel. Surgery is the only treatment for reducing or repositioning the fat pockets, however, fillers like Juverderm, Sculptra and Selphyl can be used to camouflage the “bags” by filling in the depression or “trough” between the fat pads and the cheek, this tends to work best with younger patients with less skin redundancy. Other treatments such as Venus Freeze and CO2 Laser resurfacing can help tighten the skin.
Surgery does not correct the surface wrinkles of the skin, this can be addressed with CO2 Laser skin resurfacing.

Blepharoplasty will enhance your appearance, while not drastically changing your natural appearance. It is a very subtle but amazingly rejuvenating change.

Everyone’s face is different. A professional personal consultation is the first step toward enhancing your appearance. Your goals and expectations regarding facial rejuvenation will be discussed and following examination of your face treatment options along with potential risks will be discussed. This evaluation will determine if you are a good candidate for a blepharoplasty and it may identify areas that may benefit from ancillary procedures to optimize your results.
