Dr. Deniz Akyurekli, founder and chief medical officer of The Best You: Centre for Personal Enhancement, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Dr. Lloyd Van Wyck of Ottawa. Dr. Van Wyck, a plastic surgeon with over 20 years experience, practices at Ottawa Civic Hospital and at a local private surgical facility. For Dr Akyurekli this was a natural outcome of a five-year collaboration. He explains, "Five years ago Dr. Van Wyck started helping us out with general plastic surgery procedures in Owen Sound and he quickly became part of our family. Now we are officially making our family larger in a move that we believe will ultimately benefit our clients. They can get different points of view and a collaborative approach to solving their problems. It's exciting to see us grow."
Dr. Van Wyck's non-surgical spa procedures will now be done under the auspices of The Best You. This means that The Best You's clients have an even wider choice of options for non-surgical procedures and the convenience of two locations to choose from. Dr. Akyurekli explains, "We have found through our interaction over five years that we share the same philosophies and ideas. We will be sharing those same philosophies and treatment approaches with our clients."
Dr. Van Wyck agrees that consistency is key in the treatment of their clients. "Our individual surgical practices tend to project our own personalities, so that is why Deniz and I have discussions continuously so that we can be sure our message is consistent in both locations. We believe that working together as a team will benefit our clients."
The Best You now has the benefit of multiple specialists who can collaborate to help with client care. "Our focus is not to sell people products and services," says Dr. Akyurekli. "Our focus is to get results for people, identifying what they would like to alter, and finding the best approach whether surgical or non-surgical. The more specialists and resources that can be involved, the better results for the client."
